Student Leadership
At Georges River College Hurstville Campus, we believe every student can be a leader. Our Student Leadership Program provides opportunities for students to build confidence, take responsibility and contribute positively to our school community.
Our leadership team includes School Captains, Vice Captains and Prefects. These students represent the school, lead key initiatives and work closely with staff to support school events and student voice.
Our sports leadership team includes the Sports Captain and Vice Sports Captain. They promote participation, teamwork and school spirit, and support whole-school sporting events.
Students can also take on leadership roles through the Student Representative Council (SRC) and as Peer Support Leaders. The SRC gives students a voice by sharing ideas and contributing to school improvement, while Peer Support Leaders work with Year 7 students to help them settle into high school and feel connected.
Through these opportunities, students develop important skills such as communication, teamwork and leadership, supported by staff who guide and mentor them along the way.
