A year at our school

Throughout the year, our school hosts a wide variety of events that bring our community together and celebrate student achievement. From inspiring assemblies and cultural festivals to exciting sports carnivals, creative arts showcases, and engaging learning activities, there’s always something happening to spark enthusiasm and pride. These events provide opportunities for students to shine, connect, and create lifelong memories.

Education Week: What an incredible week of learning, creativity, and connection! From robotics and fitness challenges to visual art, photography, and tech showcases our students embraced every opportunity to ignite their potential.

NAIDOC Week: Our school proudly came together for a full-day Aboriginal Cultural Day experience, the 50th anniversary of NAIDOC Week and focusing on this year's theme: “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy.”

Wellbeing Day: Our Wellbeing Day was a fantastic opportunity for students and staff to connect beyond the classroom through activities promoting mental health, positive relationships, and community.

Careers Expo: Our Year 10 students attended the Southern Sydney Jobs and Skills Careers Expo at Hurstville Aquatic Leisure Centre, joining students from 18 local high schools. Throughout the event, they explored university and TAFE pathways, apprenticeships, traineeships, scholarships, work experience opportunities, and a variety of future career options. Students also spoke with local employers and industry representatives, with some securing valuable work experience placements. Overall, it was a valuable morning that helped students make informed decisions about their future education, training, and career pathways.

Cross Country: Students gave it their all at today’s cross country event, showing incredible determination, teamwork and school spirit. Whether racing for the finish line or cheering on their friends, everyone enjoyed a day outdoors, pushing themselves and celebrating each other’s achievements. Congratulations to all participants for making it a fun and memorable event!

Athletics Carnival: Our athletics carnival was an action-packed day full of speed, skill, and sportsmanship! Students from all year levels competed in a variety of track and field events, showcasing their talents and pushing their personal bests. The energy was high, the cheers were loud, and the community spirit truly shone through. Well done to all competitors and thank you to everyone who helped make the day a fantastic success!

Macbeth Incursion: Students were captivated during our Macbeth incursion, exploring Shakespeare’s classic through live performance and interactive activities. A fantastic opportunity to bring literature to life and deepen understanding of this timeless play!
