Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your child’s education as well as get to know the staff and other parents and carers.
Research shows that children benefit when their parents or carers are actively involved in their education and school life.
You can help by:
- volunteering on sports days
- helping supervise excursions
- getting involved in fundraising activities
- joining school committees.
RAISE program
GRC Hurstville Campus provides mentoring for Year 8 and 9 students. The aim of this program is to improve youth wellbeing and engagement through early intervention mentoring programs. Volunteer mentors from a range of workplace environments including business, tertiary institutions and community organisations work one-to-one with our Year 8 students, on a weekly basis for two school terms to help support students reach their full potential.
